Plesk 12.1.8 Beta Linux - how to upgrade

As far as I know Preview Version of Plesk 12.1 is only for fresh installation but not for upgrade.
 
Technically you can do that, though we highly discourage upgrading production servers to preview.
In case of any problem, you won't be able to downgrade or receive support.
Proper path is to clone your server (VPS) and then run Plesk installer with --all-versions option. It will show you preview build for installing
