Plesk 12.5 apache modules are missing?

pdsolutions1

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

I have a BIG problem, my system runs the latest centos7 with plesk 12.5, i have been updated this morning from plesk 12 to 12.5
The OS is a fresh install, i have already 30GB of webpages hosted in there.
So the problem is that apache fails to load, i think it could failling after i enabled some apache modules, on system restart it fails.

Tha modules i activated from tools&settings -> Apache

This error displays:

"Los nuevos archivos de configuración para el servidor web Apache no fueron creados debido a errores en las plantillas de configuración: [Mon Oct 26 16:51:55.504721 2015] [so:warn] [pid 3174] AH01574: module actions_module is already loaded, skipping [Mon Oct 26 16:51:55.506800 2015] [so:warn] [pid 3174] AH01574: module headers_module is already loaded, skipping [Mon Oct 26 16:51:55.507084 2015] [so:warn] [pid 3174] AH01574: module logio_module is already loaded, skipping [Mon Oct 26 16:51:55.508182 2015] [so:warn] [pid 3174] AH01574: module suexec_module is already loaded, skipping httpd: Syntax error on line 60 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 80 of /etc/httpd/conf.modules.d/00-base.conf: Cannot load /usr/lib64/httpd/modules/mod_mem_cache.so into server: /usr/lib64/httpd/modules/mod_mem_cache.so: undefined symbol: ap_cache_cacheable_hdrs_out . On the plesk home page.
Resuming, i activated:

And rebooted.

PS: the reconfigure --all via ssh dosen t work

Thanks in advance.

OK,

So after i spent all day trying to fix the problem, wich was caused by the Plesk Upgrade from 12 to 12.5 as our server administrator sayd: Plesk update took the IPV6 for all website configuration not the IPV4. Apache "went down" looking for the modules...

The solution: DON´T UPGRADE PLESK

If someone needs log files to prove what i m saying i ll provide them here.

I use plesk from 1 ago and it's kind of buggy....
Thanks

Hi,

well if that was the issue, it should have been easy to just re-add the IPv4?
Maybe you setup your IPv4 on your new server to be a dedicated IPv4 instead of it being shared?

Which Software is not buggy?
Sorry, but not upgrading a Software will sooner or later cause much larger issues than this issue might have been.

Just my two cents

Kristian

Hi,

All IPV4 are shared, on all domains i have the option to set the same IP and IPV6 for all domains.
Readd the IPV4 so plesk fails and we need to "Fix It" adding missing IP's etc...
I sayd plesk it's kind of buggy cause i had a LOT of issues running plesk.

One is that plesk firewall blocks passive ports, if opened as the plesk says in a tutorial is connecting but it hangs....i have made some tests stopping the centos7 firewall and plesk firewall... with the centos firewall disabled plesk still blocks ftp ports, it hangs connected....and when i disable it fire ftp runs OK. Even if i turn back on centos 7 firewall.

I didn't tounched anything, i just updated plesk from 12 to 12.5 and apache went down.
Anyways, the system administrator manage it, the problem is solved, plesk mees it up and the guy setted up the apache and ngnix conf files back to normal.
If plesk continues to fail we ll change to another software.

Someone can please give me some good reasons to hold on plesk?
hmm... let's see

Can someone from plesk team tell me why after updating to 12.5 apache failed to:

"[Mon Oct 26 16:51:55.504721 2015] [so:warn] [pid 3174] AH01574: module actions_module is already loaded, skipping [Mon Oct 26 16:51:55.506800 2015] [so:warn] [pid 3174] AH01574: module headers_module is already loaded, skipping [Mon Oct 26 16:51:55.507084 2015] [so:warn] [pid 3174] AH01574: module logio_module is already loaded, skipping [Mon Oct 26 16:51:55.508182 2015] [so:warn] [pid 3174] AH01574: module suexec_module is already loaded, skipping httpd: Syntax error on line 60 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 80 of /etc/httpd/conf.modules.d/00-base.conf: Cannot load /usr/lib64/httpd/modules/mod_mem_cache.so into server: /usr/lib64/httpd/modules/mod_mem_cache.so: undefined symbol: ap_cache_cacheable_hdrs_out "

...

and why apache was running on IPV6? i didn't changet it....

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I do understand your point.
However from what I can see your old server had mod_mem_cache installed and your new one did not.
So Plesk can not activate a module that is not installed.

A good reason to stick with Plesk?
It works if you know what you are doing :)
Is there any other working alternative that has similar functionality at same price and ressource usage footprint?
I do not think so!

I guess your IPv4 was not setup correctly as there was an Apache/httpd configuration Error.
Solving the issue and running: "/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all" will most probably have solved your issue within minutes.

Maybe it's an option to contact Odin Support next time. They even have a free Installation, Migration and Update Service.
See here: http://www.odin.com/support/plesk-suite/plesk/

Hi,

I forgot to mention that it about a brand new dedicated server, 1and1 is the provider..they are renting dedicated servers with plesk 12.

So i had a brand new server working with webpages from the 1st minute with centos7 and plesk 12.

All the system and apache, php versions, nginx is pre-configurated with the machine main ip4 and ipv6.,Why it worked on same system with plesk 12? i had it running about 3 days...
I talked with 1and1 support center and they told me to open a ticket here cause it must be a bug!

I have allready tryied the ""/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all" with no success.

Regarding memory cache apache fail, the module was right there, as we could compare from both systems all the apache, ngnix modules and configuration. On the broken server 4-5 modules were "missing" and on the other server i have the same config..same apache módules..same plesk version 12.5... i think plesk update failed and messed it up on the "broken server" as i have another one running with same conf and same apache modules.

Personally i like plesk and it s features, it s not about if we re wise enough to manage simple tasks as upgrade or update components..that s why people from plesk are to get it better and bettet. (of course ...to solve the potential bugs)...

Resuming, plesk on upgrade from 12 to 12.5. messes things up... as 1and1 support sayd and our server side administrator.

There are two people saying the same..so can anyone let me know what happend?
