Plesk 12.5 Master DNS setup issue

Erwin Fiten

Basic Pleskian
Hi all,

I tried several things, found several threads on the internet about this, but i'm still not alble to setup.

My configuration :
- Plesk 12.5 Web Pro Edition on Debian 8
- external domain & dns registrar (Openprovider)

I can setup the external DNS server as a slave, they mailed me this :
"You have to configure your master nameserver, allowing IP address x.x.x.x to read your zone files and do zone transfers (AXFR). Only in this way, the records can be copied."

I checked this manual :
http://download1.parallels.com/Ples...k-reseller-guide/index.htm?fileName=65185.htm
telling me :
If your domain name registrar requires that you allow transfer for all zones you serve:

  1. Go to the Websites & Domains tab and find the domain name whose DNS settings you want to manage.
  2. Click DNS Settings.
  3. Click Zone Transfers. A screen will show all hosts to which DNS zone transfers for all zones are allowed.
  4. Specify the registrar's IP or network address and click Add Network.
For older versions of PLESK it was easy (have some experience with BIND DNS server) :
Ip could be added in : /etc/named.conf

Unfortunally I can't fand these settings, maybe not correct version of Plesk ?

Is there way to let the external slave DNS server read the plesk dns entries?

My excuses if this is already asked before, i checked and didn't find it.

Thanks in advance,

Erwin
