I install this application from the plesk control panel, i see the shop folder and everything looks ok but when i try to open oscommerce in the internet explorer i get this error:

Not Found
The requested document was not found on this server.

Any help?

It may be in https:// instead of http:// or it may be somewhere other than where you expect it to be. Have a look in /home/httpd/vhosts/yourdomain.tld to see where it really is.

Also please note that the version of OsCommerce in the application vault is **if I remember correctly**, quite old and insecure.

You are better off installing it manually, but even if you do you may still have to make some modifications (see the oscommerce anouncement forums for details and read through all the posts relating to the latest release to see if anybody has spotted anything that has not yet been patched in the release archive)

You need safe mode off and register globals on as it won't work otherwise without lots of modes. And if using an ssl certificate you may find it easier to have ssl and non-ssl to be in the same directory. You may also have to play with with your open_basedir config but I can't remember if this was absolutely necessary or not.

Faris.
