Plesk 7.5.4 released!

Well, I know that, and have.. they're looking into it for me :p

But, what's bothering me is why they're suddenly enforcing some form of block on Virtuozzo users after the update that wasn't in place before.. a lot of people have been using updater all along from inside a Virtuozzo VPS and aren't being warned *before* updating that they'll lose access to Updater. :)

Sorry to butt this one, but is the smtp_psa issue related to a specific 7.5.x update or perhaps lack of keeping 7.5.x updated?

Guess I shouldn't pose the question here, but we didn't see it on this server. We do however have a new server that is still 7.5.3 without updates.

Joe - possibly due to the re-write of the interface with PHP5 there may now be some 'special' things which have to be done to update VPS servers. I am not sure, but it is quite possible. They may not have had enough time to work out all the little kinks due to 'public pressure' to get this release out. Oh, and I know that you knew, I was just answering your question 'any ideas, folks?' (I knew it was obvious, but could not resist anyways :) )

phatPhrog - The issue with the RBL/MAPS bug (IIRC) started with 7.5.2 Personally I have not had the problem on my RH9 servers with fresh 7.5.3 installs. There have been a number of posts about this in the recent few months.

soWWy, I think you meant to say:

Yo! jamesyeeoc

:D

:D :D

Did you have to remove qmail-scanner-art too as I did? I would like to run qmail-scanner for AV which has maildrop as a dependancy but psa's courier claims it conflicts with its maildrop.

Well, all seemed to go well. That is, until I went back to Updater.

Now I get..

Service Unavailable

Service is not available now, probably your Plesk is misconfigured. Contact Your provider for details.

Internal Plesk error occurred: AutoInstallerManager::getAutoInstaller() failed: AutoInstallerManager::_autoInstallerCall() failed: autoinstaller failed: Auto-installer does not work inside Virtuozzo environment. Refer to your service provider in order to obtain Plesk updates.

Same problem.

When I try to simultaneously upgrade the base packages and the backup/restore facilities to 7.5.4 using the rpm method on my Plesk Reloaded 7.5.3 installation on a RedHat EL3 machine I get the following error message: -

You can find those rpms in the Third_Party.RHel3 folder where you extracted the tar file ;)

There you can see them ;)

Thanks for the rapid response and advice, everything upgraded now with no problems detected.

Well, ain't that nifty. I've been inside a VPS this whole time, and have used Updater without problems many times before. Now, i'm stuck.. any ideas, folks?

wget http://download1.sw-soft.com/Plesk/Plesk7.5/FedoraC2/psa_installer_v2.0.0_build75050908.11_os_FedoraCore_2_i686
mv psa_installer_v2.0.0_build75050908.11_os_FedoraCore_2_i686 /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller
chmod 550 /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller

Fixed it for me.
