• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

plesk 8.1: upgrade spamassassin on debian

Hi all,
I have a debian server with plesk 8.1 (just auto-upgraded from 8.0) and spamassassin 3.0.3-2sarge1 (the version shipped with plesk bundle).

I need to upgrade spamassassin to version 3.1.7 ... but how? Does just an "apt-get install spamassassin" work?
My ISP claims that there will be issues regarding plesk compatibility (after the upgrade): do you know if there are any?

Bye

Just another question: should I download/install other packages (or modify any configuration) to reflect the changes in plesk or it just works as usual by only upgrading package through backports?
