Plesk 8 can't read Plesk 7.5.4 backups? WTF!!

My hard drive failed at 1and1.
They reimaged it with FC4 and Plesk 8.
The backup utility won't recognize plesk's own backup files from 7.5.4!

It's reasonable to assume that Plesk could read it's own files...Who's bright idea was it to strand people like this with new versions?

HOW DO I GET THE DATA out of those files?
Is there a plesk utility that will convert it into something usable?

have you tried with migration manager?

it should be able to open local dumps too...

Can't you get it reimaged with 7.5.4? Then you can always upgrade to Plesk 8 later on.

Where do the psa754 dumps have to go for the migration manager to use them?
