  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Plesk Apache & Plesk removed by software installation

New Pleskian
Hi,
last night i had an apache issue so i thought uninstall it, also plesk seems to uninstalled too.
So i wanted to reinstall it, no chance, depends not met.

After reboot installer didn`t work, so i connected by ssh and started the plesk autoinstaller.
Again dependency not met "mailx" and stopped to upgrade.

Is it even possible to reinstall/upgrade plesk core in a status like that?
All config files, user, domains, emails all where still there.

In the end we did a restore, but i was wondering if it is really not possible to reinstall the uninstalled
components.

Server ist running on ubuntu 14.04 and before we shut it down we will try the upgrade.
14.04 -> 16.04 -> 18.04 -> 20.04, is it then possible to also install obsidian when on 20.04?
