Question Plesk automated Updates not working

hostingprimus

New Pleskian
On all machines I have activated the option to install Plesk updates automatically.
However it does not seem to work. Whilst system package updates are installed on a regular basis, Plesk Obsidian still remains the "old" version.
For example an May, 28. I've manually updated to Version 18.0.35 #2. Today the updater "says" last check for updates on July 27. and still Plesk is not updated to 18.0.37 or at least 18.0.36.
Is that a bug or a feature?

New Plesk versions (example 18.0.35 -> 18.0.36) are not installed right after they are released. It may take 1-2 weeks until your system will be updated, depending on your settings (see Plesk Obsidian Auto-Updates – the Beginning of a Short Releases Era )

However, you should at least be on version 18.0.36 by now as this was released beginning of June.

What is your exact OS version? What do you see in /var/log/plesk/install/autoinstaller3.log ?

Thanks for the fast reply

OS: Linux, vendor CentOS, version 7.9.2009, arch x86_64, environment vz

Full log file is attached.

Interesting seems the following in the autoinstaller log file as it mentions that 18.0.35 is used and that 18.0.37 ist newest:

I don't really see anything wrong here. Maybe somebody else has a clue?
Note: It took about 4 weeks until all my servers were auto-updated to 18.0.36 so this is quite in line with Why Plesk Obsidian is not updated automatically?

Maybe you give it another couple of days and check again if any of your servers were updated in the meantime?

And can you confirm you didn't add any custom configuration in panel.ini in the [updates] section? (Reference: Plesk Updates)

I can confirm that no changes were made in the [updates] section within the panel.ini

I'll give it another few days and see what happens
