  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk backup of mysql databases

Tassos Voulgaris

New Pleskian
I have created some mysql databases manually, via Server/ Database Servers/ Access this Server via DB Webadmin. Are these databases getting backed up with Plesk backup services?
This databases are not associated with any of my domains.

Hi,

Plesk by default doesn't backup any MySQL databases except it's own psa, aspc and mysql Database.

All other backups are only created if you have configured them to.
Although as Plesk does not know about your databases, it will most probably also not make backups for them,
as they are not associated to any subscriptions.

Regards,
Kristian
