  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Plesk Backup/Restore

Hi

We are backing up a server using pleskbackup utility from the server shell and we are saving it to an USB drive, in order to restore it in a brand new server.

The origin server is an SCSI Dual Xeon and it is taking a lot of time to do the backup to the USB drive, anyone knows how many time does it usually take to get the whole backup done to the usb drive?

We are saving around 400 domains.

Thanks!!!

well, I can't say exactly how much, but it really takes a long time to do a backup with 400 domains. I believe you don't have to worry, unless it's taking more than 24 hours :)
