Plesk Backup

New Pleskian
Hello

Have parallels plesk windows 9.0 panel a good tool for do backups? Im backiung up the server using r1soft. But I also want to backup domain content, mails and data bases content (MsSQL 2000, MsSQL 2005 and MySQL) to another disk. In Plesk 8.6 I just used to manage my backups with the Backup COnfiguration Tool. But now, this tool was migrated to the web interface. Where I can configure where I want to save my backup files in others words how can I change the backup repository?

If I just want to backup the databases its possible?

Thank you!

Hello,

With Parallels Plesk Panel, you can back up and subsequently restore the databases. The following Administrator's Guide page provides more information on that:

http://download1.parallels.com/Plesk/PPP9/Doc/en-US/plesk-9.0-administrators-guide/61091.htm

You can either set an FTP Repository as described at

http://download1.parallels.com/Plesk/PPP9/Doc/en-US/plesk-9.0-administrators-guide/59259.htm

or select the repository where you would like to store the backup file each time you are making it.

You can not exclude files and folders from domains any longer, and that is a show stopper for me. I am stuck on 8.6 and I am deseperate as to what can I do now...
