New Pleskian
Hello,

I changed the password for the root user MySQL 'admin' via the webadmin in the Plesk panel (phpMyAdmin)
Now I am getting an error when i try to acces Plesk panel on port 8443:

Code:
ERROR: Zend_Db_Adapter_Exception: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES) (Abstract.php:144)

When trying to login over SSH with
Code:
mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow`
i also get
Code:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

So my guess was that the pass stored in Plesk for MySQL root user 'admin' didn't change. I was able to connect to the MySQL database via SSH using the new password (with Navicat) There i was able to set the pass of the user 'admin' back to the previous one (same as Plesk), restarted the services but the error is still present ... !?

Greets,
Niels

Solved the issue by updating the password for the MySQL admin user to the hash in /etc/psa/.psa.shadow
So the hash in .psa.shadow has to be hased again by PASSWORD()

... SET password = PASSWORD(<hash>) ...
