• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

PLESK client backups running off schedule

Guest
my client backups are scheduled at 300am

mysql crashed at 330am

When I restart PLESK, or the entire server, backups start running again, its 2pm and client backups are running.

And as many of you may know the server can't function when PLESK is running backups. It takes about 5 min to get a SSH login.

How can I prevent PLESK backups from running if the schedule is missed or a crash during backups occur?

I am running PLESK 8.0 on CentOS 4.3.

THanks

You can't.

You may just decrease backup process priority, to reduce server load.

Add "nice" to crontab task, running "backupmng" utility.
