  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Plesk Control Panel not working

Hi,
I am currently working on a project that is hosted by MediaTemple and uses Plesk for Server configuration. It is hosted on Centos 5 and had PHP 5.2.5. I tried building PHP 5.2.6 and that went pretty ok. However now when I try to view Plesk Control Panel, the left pane is visible, however in the right pane, it keeps giving the following error:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

* This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies.

I checked the cookie settings and it was fine. Tried on different machines and different browsers too, yet the same error.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Try the following:
1. Enable errors in Plesk php.ini (/usr/local/psa/admin/conf/php.ini) be setting display_errors to on, restart Plesk and try again.
2. Check and post here what appears in Plesk error log (/usr/local/psa/admin/logs/httpsd_error.log)
3. If this Plesk is installed on Virtuozzo virtual environment (if it is you should for example have file /proc/user_beancounters on your server) then you can try accessing Plesk at http://IP_OF_SERVER:8880. If it works then contact MediaTemple and ask them to check it because in this case problem should be in Vitruozzo.

Hi,
This is the last bit of the log after i restart Plesk and change display_errors to on.

Plesk does work on http://IP_OF_SERVER:8880. Have contacted MediaTemple and looks like the problem could be in Vitruozzo

Hi,
Is it possible to repair Plesk 8.3 that stopped working after my upgrade of 5.2.6 using the Plesk->Virtuozzo->Reinstall VPS. Would it restore it to default configuration and the previous PHP version 5.2.5 or would try repairing the current PHP installation?

Thanks,
Arun

I was meaning to to use Plesk->Virtuozzo->Repair Mode and not the Reinstall VPS.

Thanks,
Arun
