Resolved Plesk DNS www2 domain prefix redirect

I am using the plesk DNS as the master on our live site and I'm trying to redirect requests to our staging server on a different IP address. I have setup the A record for www2.example.com but when I query I always get the live www IP address returned.
Any ideas how to check dns requests ?

Ignore it was setup correctly. Only took 5 hours for dns cache to sort it self out despite ipconfig /flush dns etc.
