PLESK domain rename logic?

I was wondering how PLESK handles the renaming of a domain? Does it do a delete domain event or does it do a update domain event? Or other? I am trying to plug in to the event handler for a customization and I need this info to complete it. Any help is appreciated..
 
I don't know if different versions handle it differently. I'm at 7.5 Reloaded and I have updated domains and all existing files remain intact. Plesk DNS (and it appears everything else) is updated and I've not had any problems with the domains. I have to admit, the sites I did that for were new domain creations where I had made a typo entering the domain name.
