Resolved Plesk e-mails not fowarding despite settings, help please

zoldos

Basic Pleskian
I have 2 domains and have setup several e-mails in Plesk. I enabled forwarding on them to my primary e-mail. I did not setup a user account or mailbox for them, as I want them only to forward if e-mail is sent to them.

But it does not work. I did need to re-install Postfix today and have verified that my domain(s) are SENDING e-mails, but if I send a message to one of the e-mails I setup, it does not forward.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Did you check /var/log/maillog for details on what happens when a mail comes in to one of the addresses in question? It should tell you the reason why the incoming mail is not forwarded and what the system does with it instead of forwarding.

Okay thanks! Took a look, and these entries seem interesting. Also, there seems to be an issue sending to Yahoo, so I'll try another address to forward to. In the mean time, please let me know if anything below seems odd:

Code:
Nov 18 15:26:23 eagle556 postfix/smtpd[1443]: NOQUEUE: milter-reject: EHLO from unknown[91.200.12.180]: 451 4.7.1 Service unavailable - try again later; proto=SMTP helo=<User>
Nov 18 15:26:23 eagle556 postfix/smtpd[1443]: lost connection after AUTH from unknown[91.200.12.180]
Nov 18 15:26:23 eagle556 postfix/smtpd[1443]: disconnect from unknown[91.200.12.180] ehlo=1 auth=0/1 commands=1/2

I saw a lot of these from different domains.

Code:
Nov 18 15:26:16 eagle556 postfix[1371]: Postfix is running with backwards-compatible default settings
Nov 18 15:26:16 eagle556 postfix[1371]: See http://www.postfix.org/COMPATIBILITY_README.html for details

Same here.

Code:
Nov 19 00:40:11 eagle556 postfix/trivial-rewrite[21183]: warning: do not list domain xxxxxx.net in BOTH mydestination and virtual_mailbox_domains

Only saw this like once.

:D

Code:
Nov 18 15:26:23 eagle556 postfix/smtpd[1443]: warning: connect to Milter service inet:127.0.0.1:12768: Connection refused

Please check if psa-pc-remote service is online:
# service psa-pc-remote status

or
plesk-milter.jpg

If it is online, add the 127.0.0.1 to your fail2ban filter and unban the 127.0.0.1 if it is banned by fail2ban.

If this still does not help, you can try to stop all Plesk services and restart:
# service psa stopall
# service psa start

And finally, if this still does not help, you can try
# plesk repair mail

Does any of this resolve the issue?

It shows it's enabled in Plesk Milter, but I get this in console:

Code:
eagle556:~# service psa-pc-remote status
● psa-pc-remote.service
Loaded: not-found (Reason: No such file or directory)
   Active: inactive (dead)

fail2ban isn't installed.

Stopped/started services, didn't seem to work. And won't "# plesk repair mail" erase/reset all my mail settings? It DOES send, it just won't forward ...

plesk repair will not change settings, it will only reconfigure the services with the configuration values that are stored in the Plesk database.

Okay, ran repair mail. And this is the exact log entry for my latest forward attempt, this time to a Hotmail address:

Code:

Any ideas? How do I correct the "warning: do not list domain in BOTH"? Could that be it?

Hmm.....I looked at your link, but couldn't find "virtual_alias_domains" in my main.cf....

BUT, I found something with more info! The below was "returned" on my last attempt:
