Hi,

check what default locale is installed:
mysql -uadmin -p`head /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` -D psa -e "select * from locales;";

and set it to English:

mysql -uadmin -p`head /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` -D psa -e "insert into locales(id, lang) values('en', 'English');";

Hi

I typed this line

mysql -uadmin -p`head /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` -D psa -e "select * from locales;";

and it returned

+-------+--------+
| id | active |
+-------+--------+
| de-DE | true |
| en-US | true |
| fr-FR | true |
+-------+--------+

mysql -uadmin -p`head /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` -D psa -e "insert into locales(id, lang) values('en', 'English');";

and returned

ERROR 1054 (42S22) at line 1: Unknown column 'lang' in 'field list'

(im not good with using mysql on the command line)

Please try the following command:

mysql> update misc set val='en-US' where param='def_locale';

or this one (if the previous one fails):

mysql> insert into misc values ('def_locale','en-US');

Based on content of psa.locales from your latest e-mail, this should resolve the problem.
