The APS Catalog has been deprecated and removed from all Plesk Obsidian versions. Applications already installed from the APS Catalog will continue working. However, Plesk will no longer provide support for APS applications.
Please be aware: with the Plesk Obsidian 18.0.78 release, the support for the ngx_pagespeed.so module will be deprecated and removed from the sw-nginx package.
You don't need to use TuxCare Extended Lifecycle if you don't want to but you will not be protected. TuxCare is a separate service and all the extension in Plesk does is apply the license once purchased with the repos for you. See the following resources:
Yes, but I didn't activate this, and the host Contabo.com is simply charging me for it. Furthermore, their license fees for the Web Host edition are three times higher than other hosts! However, I've already ordered a new server and will cancel my contract with them!
Your provider is charging the ELS fee as Ubuntu 20.04 is EOL since last May. Please note that if you remain on the same OS chances are another provider will also charge you the fee (TuxCare is mandatory for Plesk partners). To avoid the fee, it's best to consider an upgrade - you can use the dist-upgrade script for convenience.
I've already cancelled my contract there and installed Ubuntu 24.04 with another provider for the same performance and Plesk license for only €49 instead of €128, and with additional backup.
