• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk IIS Users

Hi All,

Can somebody please tell me what each of the Plesk IIS users are used for

[] Plesk IIS WP User (SERVER\IWAM_Plesk(default)
[] Plesk Domain User (SERVER\domain)

Bascially I want to add a DLL that is readable by IIS apps but want it stored out of the webroot of the domains. I presume I just have to give the following user permissions for IIS to be able read it:

[] Plesk IIS User (SERVER\IUSER_domain)

In my experiece, giving the permissions to the IUSR account is enough. The first user is a Worker Process one and I'm not totally sure of the interaction of it to the file system, never had to grant it permissions to files that need to be run. The Domain User account I think may be linked to the FTP login (if any) assigned to the account.
