Plesk keeps trying to restart MySQL

Juan ManuelT

New Pleskian
The other day I noticed one of our servers was constantly trying to start mysql and failing because it was already active, arround once per second, this did not produce any error other than some spikes in the IO graphs. I stopped the service with service mysql stop and the problem went away, mysql kept running but it stopped trying to start. Today, after aplying the next MU, it started doing it again, and it was fixed the same way.

I read some old bug that apparently caused Watchdog to do this, but it's service monitoring is disabled. Any ideas of what can be causing this?

Server is a virtual machine Ubuntu 10.04 running plesk 11, up to date with the general release.
