Issue Plesk on Debian 13 - Updated accidentally - Plesk Backup Manager Broken

rexxxx

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Debian 13
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.72.2
Hi, first of all I have to apologize for my English, I'm from Germany and even there is my typing a mess ;)

Current Situation:
VM Server with 12GB Memory and 16vCPUs
OS: Debian 13.1
Plesk: 18.0.72.2

Problem:
Plesk Backup Manager won't open, and a reinstallation is not possible because of non-supported repo.

What happened:
This week I updated my NextCloud, in the Info Box I received a message that there is a Problem with my Server OS Debian 12 and that it's to old for the installed Talk Version in Nextcloud (Later I learned that I misunderstood the Message, I did not talk about the Plesk Server it talks about the external STUN Server for Talk which was too old).

So I Updated first Plesk to the newest Version and Debian 12 to the last Version.
From there, I did the jump to Debian 13.

Then I checked if everything was working, Plesk Web interface was normal, Websites are there, mail server is working and also the Nextcloud was working fine (except of that message which started this journey). So I tried Plesk Repair via SSH and there the problems started. The Database Check was not possible anymore, It was running and the memory + swap fill filled up, and the server froze because of low memory. Then I read about that Debian 13 is not yet supported and that the Supported version is expected in December of 25.

So I decided to wait until the new release comes out, because I was thinking that everything else was fine, than I checked the Backup Function and I saw that it was not working anymore. With the help of Grok I checked If only the Web interface was effected, and I learned that the complete Backup Module is not installed anymore properly, so I tried to reinstall it with Grok, which was not possible yet.
So far I still can work with the server and from the normal functions it seems to work normal, but The Backups are not working.
My Question now is, What do you think, should I wait until there is a release or is there a possibility to repair it and reinstall the Module?

Thank you

Hello, @rexxxx . Could you please describe in more details what happens when you attempt to access the Backup Manager? Is there any error returned? Also, please check /var/log/plesk/panel.log and let us know what's being logged at the time the issue occurred.

Hi Sebahat.
That is the page when I go via the web interface to the Backup Manager:

In the File /var/log/plesk/panel.log is nothing new only messages from 2 h before of this test.

The First Idea of the AI Grok which I used during my test was the newest Version of Python is missing some Commands that was used by the Plesk Backup routine but than we saw that the backup manager is not available anymore, and I can not reinstall it because there is no source for Debian 13.

You can also see this when I'm opening the Package manager:

the message is:
For your Operating System, Debian Linux 13.1 X86_64 are no Products available in the selected source. You can try to add another source. (Hyperlink)
