Inviting everyone to the UX test of a new security feature in the WP Toolkit For WordPress site owners, threats posed by hackers are ever-present. Because of this, we are developing a new security feature for the WP Toolkit. If the topic of WordPress website security is relevant to you, we would be grateful if you could share your experience and help us test the usability of this feature. We invite you to join us for a 1-hour online session via Google Meet. Select a convenient meeting time with our friendly UX staff here.
When I start installing the update the -download update installing- never ends and now when I click again in the -Install now- option it show me an ERR_TIMED_OUT error.
to investigate issues/errors/problems on linux systems, you should consider to inspect the corresponding log - files ( in your case: /var/log/plesk/ ) and because Plesk supports several operating systems, you should consider to add ALWAYS YOUR current operating system in threads/posts, where you desire help from the Plesk Community.
If you experience issues/errors/problems with the "autoinstaller" from Plesk over the Plesk Control Panel, you should consider to test, if the corresponding CLI - command ( logged in as user "root" over SSH ) works:
Code:
plesk installer --select-product-id plesk --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --install-component base
Pls. make sure, that there are no other installer - processes running, which you are able to check with the command:
Code:
ps aux | grep installer
In case that there are orphaned installer - PIDs, you are able to "kill" them with the example command:
My first try was similiar to yours, after that i have find the PID of the installer and killed them.
After that i have relaunched a new try over GUI and then the installer was updated inside few seconds

Thank you but I did that several times, the reply of UFHH01 help me to find the PID and kill the first try but the second, third... etc it's the same, the -downloading plesk installer- never ends
"normally" the webinstaller - session will close after 30 minutes of inactivity, but in case that you could have issues/errors/problems, Plesk is sometimes not able to finish the PID successfull, which might result in an orphaned PID. A traceback could help you to investigate, why the process couldn't be finished successfully.
