• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk permissions lost every reboot

Every time the server is rebooted plesk is losing permissions and settings.

today it decided that the mailenable postoffices were located in a different directory than the postoofices really were.

this resulted in the entire servers worth of emails being lost. for the day. all inconming emails were rejected becuase the mailboxes couldnt be found.

something int he region of 11,000 emails were not delivered today.

plesk is also losing permissions on websites with alarming frequency the last week or so.

people will access their sites and get prompted for windows login info.

resetting the permissions fixes the problem untill the next server reboot at which point a brand new selection of websites will be prompted for windows login details.

the websites appears to be random. only thing I can tell for sure is that the number of sites effected are getting worse each time.

any help would be much appreciated.

cheers
