  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Plesk Postfix sends error to wrong recipient

ManuelGDot

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 20.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.46 Update #2
Scenario (happened):
- You add another domain
- You add mail forwarding to the other domain
- You delete the other domain

Now Postfix tries on every incoming mail to forward it to the no-longer-existing domain. Finally it gives up and sends an error message to the Email sender. This is really confusing for the sender (who might consider Email spoofing) as well as the server admin, who doesn't see the error.

Although I agree it can be confusing for the sender to receive a error message from a different recipient, I would argue that (imho) this also is the correct (and expected) behavior. As the forward works as indented, but the target email address fails because it does not exists. Hence you'll receive an error message from that domain.
