I'm tasked with supporting a RedHat machine running Plesk 7.5. It's been running fairly smoothly for a while, but a few months ago it started having problems with e-mail delivery. Every so often it would stop delivering e-mail, and drweb and qmail would have to be restarted.
For the last couple weeks customers have been having major problem with losing e-mail. I've posted on the drweb forums looking for help, but no luck so far.
I even tried installing a replacement to drweb (qsheff), but Plesk's qmail install appears to be pretty heavily customized so that didn't work well.
Since this is a production server and some important customers are relying on it, I'm getting kind of desperate to get this issue resolved.
The only clue I'm finding in the maillog are messages stating that messages "should be passed without checks, because contains uncheckable addresses" followed by "all addresses are uncheckable - need to skip scanning (by deny mode)". The messages on the drweb forums suggest these message indicate that the messages will be delivered without being scanned.
HELP! Any suggestions as to how I can resolve this problem, and get mail delivery running reliably again?
