Plesk / QMail SmartHost Auth

Have a Plesk Panel (v11.0.9) using QMail; need to setup to do SmartHost with SMTP Auth, but adding the SMTPAuth info after the route in the smtproutes doesn't work. I would assume I need the patch in QMail to do this. How do I implement the patch without breaking any existing functionality (in Plesk)? Thanks in advance!

Is it still valid for v11.x?
