• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk Recognize SmarterMail Evaluation Version

I request that Plesk be able to recognize the SmarterMail evaluation version during installation.

Currently, Plesk requires a mail server for a successful installation, but Plesk fails to install when using SmarterMail evaluation version. This makes testing difficult because one must obtain a SmarterMail license just to install Plesk.

Thank you.

Hello Scott,

Thank you for the report.

The versions of supported 3rd party products are shown in the Plesk Release Notes.
We do not intend to limit the use of new versions of 3rd party products, because quite often they are compatible.

I don't think you understood my request. The Plesk install currently supports SmarterMail, but does not support the Evaluation Version of SmarterMail. Currently, Plesk does not run until I get a license for SmarterMail. I want Plesk to run when the Evaluation Version of SmarterMail is installed. The Evaluation Version of SmarterMail is fully-functional, but limited to 1 domain - 10 users.
