• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk removes the IUSR_ and Domain User as asked by .security

New Pleskian
Hi all,

I have experienced this problem on two different machines since this week. Clients complain that after change of FTP account of a website, the website immediately requires ACL login. On inspection, the IUSR_ and Domain User is removed from httpdocs .

I have tried both ftpmng.exe http://kb.odin.com/en/549 and plesk reconfiguration module - repair Plesk installation - Plesk Virtual hosts Security, both does not fix the problem.

I have noticed that the .security file in the affected site is very small compared to other sites, and in it there is no mention of IUSR_ .

So my question is, does anyone know how to repair the .security file, and what could cause Plesk to generate currupt .security file?

Thanks!

Ok Problem partially fixed - but deleting the .security file and re-run plesk reconfiguration module - repair Plesk installation - Plesk Virtual hosts Security

This create the correct .security file!

However I still don't know what caused the problem with .security. Any one have any ideas?
