  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Plesk system mails with external MX

L. Hagen

Basic Pleskian
Hi there,

I've a question about the Plesk and "internal mail handling". When I started using Plesk I used Postfix and Dovecot for all of my mails. At this time I received different "status emails" on a regular base. So far so good. But I had huge problems with emails e.g. to GMail, AOL an some others (spf etc. was set correctly and the mxtoolbox told me that everything was fine - nevertheless the emails were maked as SPAM).

Because I was unable to find a working solution I decided to use an external mailserver from my provider (STRATO). So I changed the MX and now my mails are passed.

But since this time I don't receive system mails anymore (e.g. load warnings). I guess I already checked the entire Plesk configuration for any "internal email adresses" but no - it wont work. I don't find the mistake...

Can somebody tell me please what else I have to do?

Thank you and best regards,
Lars
