• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

plesk to not write domains into rcpthost file

Regular Pleskian
Hello,

we are using an external anti junk mail provider, that we let all our mails go through.

Now to stop spammer to bypass mx records and send mail directly, I have to empty out the rctphost file.

How do I get Plesk to either not write domains into the rctphost file, or probably write the domains into another file.

Or another thing I could think of - telling Qmail to use another file as rcpthost, but seems I can't as the control directory is necessary for other stuff.

The reason is - that smtp authentification still needs to work for outgoing mail, which works ok, as long as the rcpthost file is empty.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Patrick
