• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk Update... LOST ALL PASSWORDS.... PleskBackup....

New Pleskian
Hello,

i need help for understanding how an update from Plesk 11.0.9 to Plesk 12 really works and what possibility would be the best to backup and restore plesk data.

Situation: We updated a Server from Plesk 11.0.9 (installed Version) to 11.5 and then to 12. The Server crashes an we restored a Pleskbackup. Even everything works but all passwords are lost/incorrect.
I read many postings but i don´t get an answer.

Can anyone tell me what is the best method to backup data and restore it on an other server?
I have to change an other Server and so i don´t want to make the mistake twice. It was horrible.

Thanks a lot...

Helmut
