PLESK WORDPRESS MIGRATION A DISASTER

femotvaff

Regular Pleskian
I am really bored in wasting time with plesk malfunctions.

The wordpress migration it's a real mess.
I tried 3 times in different ways, but always there is are problems.

How is possibile that 1 site is migrated, but the DB is the same of the site source even if you see listed into the domain DBs!
how is possibile that there is no way to change the DB!

It's everything a big mess.
Sorry but I am really bored.

What is the sense of a migration if there is no a migration?
If the migration is from a domain to an other everything should be cloned as minimum and the domain should be change.

Same for user subscriptions ...a big caos in changing domains between subscriptions

I made everything manually.
Copy and paste file system
Copy php configurations
Copied Db

Than plesk wordpress app found the wordpress with search feature so... now everything is working

Can you please help me about your manual steps??
How do you do its??
Sorry, but I'm not so skilled about web and hosting..
Thanks a lot.

1 You can select the folder "HTTPD" ZIP it (from panel there is menu) and move in the new Directory
2 create DUMP of DB from DB panel
3 You have to create a DB and load the DUMP
4 Change the domain into the DB (with phpmyadmin "search and replace"
5 change into the config file of wordpress the name of DB and user pass

if you search online there are tutorial how to migrate wordpress

I need to migrate a Wordpress instance from a subdomain to its own domain. I fear I will run into similar issues. Did this solution work instead of using Plesk’s migration tool?
