Postfix problem

Hi,

I have a problem with my linux server using plesk 12x, I am using postfix as the email service, all emails are working from the webmail (horde) and from any email client using smtp.
However the service is not working from the website (contact form on Wordpress) nor through the ssh commands.
I have searched for few days but I still seem to have an issue.

When I am doing this:

ls -la /etc/alternatives/mta

the output is "nothing found".

and

 ls -la /usr/sbin/sendmail

output: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 nov 4 2011 /usr/sbin/sendmail -> /etc/alternatives/mta

Does anyone knows how I can fix the mta? I assume there is a file missing but I don't know how to create it or what it should contain.

On my test Plesk 12 server I see:

# ls -la /etc/alternatives/mta
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 43 Jul 28 05:29 /etc/alternatives/mta -> /usr/lib/plesk-9.0/postfix-sendmail-wrapper

And you should use main Plesk maillog /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog for investigation any mail related issues on Plesk server.

thanks for the quick reply, I have now the correct output with the mta file:

[root@nsxxx ~]# ls -la /etc/alternatives/mta
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 43 jui 28 09:05 /etc/alternatives/mta -> /usr/lib/plesk-9.0/postfix-sendmail-wrapper

However I have done a test to send an email:

[root@nsxxx log]# mail -s Hello world [email protected]
This is a test
Cc: /usr/sbin/sendmail: No such file or directory

I am not really sure why it is not able to find the sendmail file.. Thanks for sending the directory for the mail log, I had a look in there but I couln't find anything in there related to the above test mail that I tried.
It is maybe worth mentioning that I previously uninstalled sendmail and re-installed it with yum.

Does anyone know why there is a file no found message while the file does exist?
