Pre-9-backup-convert: FATAL ERROR: Wrong Local header signature: 0x88B1F

We have 2 Plesk 8.x servers (1 Windows, 1 Linux). I'm migrating all the websites onto a new Plesk 9.2 Windows server. I can convert the Windows backups successfully using the Pre-9-backup-convert command. However, when I try to convert the backups from the Linux server , I get the following error:

FATAL ERROR: Wrong Local header signature: 0x88B1F
Please check your backup file or try to use --force option

Any ideas how to resolve this? Is it possible to convert Linux backups on a Windows server?

Unfortunately it is not possibe to convert backups from the Linux server to Windows.
Use Migration Manager for this purpose, it allows migration from Linux to Windows server.

You can find supported platforms for migration here:

In Plesk 9.0 there were no Migration Manager, you will have to upgrade to plesk 9.2
