Preparing for DNS switch -- advice/help needed

I'm finishing up our new site (new host, etc) and getting reqady to switch the DNS records with our registrar.

The site works fine if I acces it via the IP address

I've created mail users that match the old site.

ANything else I need to do before switching? (My boss is a non-tech person who doesn't understand when things don't go smoothly, so I'd like to avoid any surprises, like a site or e-mail that doesn't "just work")

Do I need to play with Plesk's DNS settings? Or should that be fine?

As far as I know, all I need to do is point our DNS record to the host's nameservers. Correct?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

as for Plesk side, it need to know these dns changes, just don't forget to edit dns settings for this domain;
if you change only nameservers, so only ns should be changed;
if you change IP or mx, they also should be changed in Plesk;
this way Plesk will know about it, and domain should be resolvable and so on;

from the registrar side: these addresses and IPs should be resolvable;
if dns works, Plesk will work and domain too.
