• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Problem with Retain web and traffic statistics for

Toxalot

Basic Pleskian
I'm new to Plesk and just setting things up. I set the value for "Retain web and traffic statistics for" in the Service Plan. I transferred a whole lot of Awstats data files and got them all set up. I could view them in my browser and everything is fine. Next day, I notice that June 2012 is gone.

I realize that the setting in Tools & Settings > Server settings must be overriding the one set in the Service Plans. I set the server one to largest setting used in Service Plans.

Then I wanted to make a change in one of my Service Plans. I can't save the Service Plan because the value for "Retain web and traffic statistics for" is less than the one used in server settings.

I'm confused about how these values are being used. At first, I assumed that the server one was merely a default. But after June disappeared, I figured it was overriding the other values so I made it large. But then the Service Plan setting needs to be >= to the server setting or I get an error message.

What I am trying to accomplish is to have a different setting for different Service Plans and to have that value honored.

I figured out a few more things after reading http://kb.parallels.com/en/6246

The article has the following note:
"Since version 10.x, you may configure the limit per Service Plan through the GUI. In the database, the limit may be configured per domain. The custom value stat_ttl is not reset when syncing a subscription with a service plan."

I didn't catch on at first because I never explicitly set this value per domain. Bu I looked at the stat_ttl value for each domain and noticed that some were 3 months and some were that specified in the Service Plan. I realized that the ones with 3 months were for subscriptions that I added prior to setting this value in the Service Plan.

It would be nice if there was a GUI setting for this and that it would sync like other values. Barring that, a note should be added to the "Logs & Statistics" tab of the Service Plan page in the admin panel letting system admins know that this value will not sync.
