Question Problem with SMTP connection

Hello,

I have a problem with the connection to the SMTP Server. On my computer I tried it with Outlook and Thunderbird, but it didn't work. I also tried it with my smartphone and it worked. On my smartphone I used Outlook. Why does Outlook work on my smartphone but not on my computer?

Does someone have an idea what the problem could be?

Hi ,
First i recommend you to check the logs when you try to connect to your server from outlook\thunderbird .

I remember that there was a problem with ciphers but first you need to check in logs about the error .
Please post us the error that you have in logs and in outlook.

The log entries describe two different things. The first two lines show a login/logout via an IMAP webmail client, e.g. Horde, roundcube or another, individually installed client on the host. The second two lines describe a login attempt from an external client, maybe your Outlook. The error message in that is clearly shown with "no auth attempts", meaning that your client software did not attempt to transmit authentication data to login. This is most likely a problem of the Outlook client, a security software or a virus on your local PC that prohibits transmission of authentication data than a problem with the mail server on your host. Your host does not receive the login credentials. You will need to research the issue on your local PC, not on the host.
