• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • Our UX team believes in the in the power of direct feedback and would like to invite you to participate in interviews, tests, and surveys.
To stay in the loop and never miss an opportunity to share your thoughts, please subscribe to our UX research program. If you were previously part of the Plesk UX research program, please re-subscribe to continue receiving our invitations.

problems sending mail from email clients (relaying)

Migrated to a new Plesk8 server and now clients are having issues relaying email. It pops up the password box repeatedly on their client and wont let them send. Every once in awhile, the authorization is approved and the email gets sent. All other times, it won't let you send.

If I manually add their IP address to the whitelist, they can send without problems. In Plesk, authorization is turned on: POP3 is checked with a locktime of 5 mins and SMTP is checked.

Any ideas as to why its not authorizing? I've turned on all the debugging I can find but all I see is " relaylock: /var/qmail/bin/relaylock: mail from x.x.x.x " in the logs. All settings are the same as were on the old server which worked without a problem.

Opened an urgent ticket with SWSoft yesterday, no response yet. Any ideas are appreciated.

I would suggest trying unchecking the POP3 one and just use:
authorization is required:
SMTP
