Problems with an update to 8.0

Hello,

I am a customer of the German Hoster Strato and their technical support just refered me to this forum because they could not help me.
I have tried to update my installation of PLESK 7.5.4 to PLESK 8.0 about two weeks ago.
I followed this route (which seemed to be the one suggested by PLESK, but which, according to the Strato support, has wreaked havoc with the installation):

- Update Plesk 7.5.4 to the latest version
- Tried to update to 8.0
- PLESK gave an error message (Your license is not valid for the update...)
- Generated a new license key for 8.0
- Uploaded that license key
- Tried to Update
- Update started
- Update aborted itself*
- PLESK is no longer useable, neither with the old, nor with the new key.

* Error message:
The key server refused to update your key.
No further tries will be performed.
Details:

Server response: Key Authorization Problem

---

Now, my main problem is (otherwise I'd just resetup the whole system) that I had to fly to the US the day after this update and thus could not contact Strato at once. So, my 'good' backups are all around two weeks old and I'd really hate to loose the data that has been added to the different projects.
Is there any way to fix the system or are there any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Jens Wiechers
