Hallo,
I have got a problem with the psa-proftpd service.
Sometimes it works great, sometimes it doesn't...
In the active mode filezilla isn't able to up- or download a file.
I think this could be because of NAT configuration and has nothing todo with the server.
But it did work fine for years and I did not change the NAT configuration.
Filezilla cancels the up- or download action after every second and tries it again on another port.
In the passive mode the up- and download works fine aslong the file is not bigger then 150kb.
Above this file size the download speed goes to 99B/s for a couple of seconds. After that Filezilla cancels it.
The SFTP connection (active & passive) is not working.
I did the configuration like edit the /etc/proftpd.conf or changing the ftp account, that the ftp user is able to access ssh.
This is the error message:
Network error: Connection refused
The port 22 is open for incoming connections.
FTP via TLS/SSL is working sometimes.
Actually I don't know why it is just working sometimes. On one computer it works and on the other one it doesn't.
I would show you the proftpd log. But I could not find it.
Now my general question.
Is it possible to re-install proftpd?
I think there are so many problems, that there was a generall install or update problem with proftpd.
The server (debian 7) is running now for nearly one year, and is up to date.
Thanks for any help.
Best Regards,
Christopher Smith
