Protecting sub-domains!

Hi,
Wondering how I can protect some of my sub-domains by asking for a windows username and password?

For example, I have admin.<domainname>.com and I wish only users that I grant access to see this web page.

When I go into File Manager and navigate to the 'admin' sub-domain and attempt to change permissions I see 'You are not allowed to change permissions for the file.'. However, I am logged in as the adminstrator!

Any ideas?

i stumbled over this one .. it's nice.... i didn't have time to test it with plesk but i don't see how it can mess up .... (test it before implementing it on a production box)

Protecting Folders in Windows

I will investigate this add-on and see how well it works, but it looks to only be available to that admin and not the enduser I would how that once it is installed that the program will allow the endusers to setup the files.

The free quick fix I have tested for this issue on IIS base servers is installing the program found on this site.

This program will allow you to us either the IIS option to set password ans users up for a directory or use the lynux style .htaccess / .htpasswd format. IF you use the lynux style protection the plug-in will populate the properties with the user password info.
