  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Psaadm File Permissions User

Vince Puruczky

New Pleskian
Hello,

I'm not the most experienced server admin out there but I've had multiple windows VPS running Plesk over a period of 10 years.

I recently had to migrate my VPS to a new location and along with the migration came the updated plesk 12.5. Ever since moving my PHP/MySQL database site to this new server, it appears that whenever a any new files are uploaded to my VPS there is a new Psaadm user automatically added to the file security (with read only permissions) and I cannot access this file via FTP unless I RDC into the server and manually change the permission to full access or remove the user from that file.

Also, I figured I could set permissions in the parent filder and all new files would inherit the permissions, however this will not work either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated on this matter,

Regards,
Vince
