• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

qmail/pop3 connection timeout for one user

WE host about 40 domains, all are working flawlessly. WE have one client though whom cannot connect to the mail server.

They cant ping it, they cant telnet to it.
We tried ports 25/465 and 110/995

It just keeps saying "server connection has timedout"

We can see it fine, they cannot.

They dont have any firewall software running.

Any ideas where to start looking for this?

FYI- i am bit of novice.
plesk 7.5.2

If you can see it and ping it, then the problem probably still lies with the client. They say they don't have a firewall running, but if they have Windows XP with service pack 2 running on their local machine, it includes a built in firewall.

They assure me windows firewall it tunred off

no nortons,

It was working fin 5-6 days ago.. then just started timing out

They are using thier full email address as login, etc etc etc

tried ditching outlook express and setting them up on thunderbird.. same scenerio. times out
