  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Regardig Managing Domain while using Alias Domains...

NeuroPsyche

Regular Pleskian
I have a domain with close to about 30 aliases and am having trouble coding anything in Plesk or Sitebuilder
to use actual paths on the Plesk/Sitebuilder server.

Does anyone know of a work-around to managing hardcoded paths, for example
using the Hyperlink Module, using the FILE:\\ command to display a simple .pdf or .doc file to the
web user...
How does one code the FILE:\\ server\drive\path\file.ext if you want to use the
domain's \HTTPDOCS\ directory and maintain a directory in the root of the domain
ex. http://www.domain.com/<filesdirectory>
...whereas the <filesdirectory> is contained in the Primary domain physical path.

...where the problem occurs is if someone comes in on one of the alias domains. The path actually, if coded
to use the domain root path, will change.

Is there any variable, that anyone knows, which shows the actual Primary Domain Name? Instead of the actual
domain the user is on.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
