  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Rackspace DNS API Integration

Hello there

Im new to Parallels Plesk Panel.
I have my servers hosted at rackspace and they told me they have alot of customers from Parallels on their servers.
I asked them how i could make the plesk control the DNS records for my domain so i dont need to setup DNS in rackspace control panel for all domains that get registered to my server, and the solution they talked about would be to point domains to their nameserver and then have an integration of their DNS API inside the plesk panel.
Does such sort of module/addon excist?
Searched through google and this forum, and it dosent seems that it excists?

Does anyone here have some knowledge with this?
Or even a solution that i can use to achieve this?

Kind regards Rune T

Ive read through the developers documentation, but i cant find anything regarding this.

The only solution i can see is to program my own control panel and then integrate parallels api and rackspace DNS api.

In general you'd create a script that calls the Rackspace API, with changes to dns settings in Plesk being configured to interact with your script. You don't need a third control panel to get in the way.
