Question Reccomendations for upgrade plesk 12.5.3

Hi
have a ,cloud server with plesk 12.0.18 #92 on CentOS Linux 7.0.1406 (Core)
the past winter in 2015 was intented to update plesk two times with no luck, the installation
finishes ok but the server cant send mail, have tested all reparation possible but finally recovered
snapshot, the server is on production and always make a update on weekend.
This winter can update one more time if have a luck and works fine....
have any suggestion or recomendation for pre update?
have read all the forum but dont know if its good idea make a pre update commands manually or
update directly from panel.

It is better to use command line update. You will see more debug info for the further troubleshooting possible ptoblems.

The simplest command is:

# plesk installer

and then follow the menu.

All the update are fine but later the mail system can send mail.

IgorG you think that the update to onyx 17.0.17 have same result

Have a production server with same specs and installed onyx 17.0.17 and all works fine!!! if transfer all client data with a plesk migration tool
the config of server is migrated to?
Wants to use a clean plesk onyx 17 and transfer only mail system and webs, its possible with the migration tool?
