Reconfigurator crashes - r2

I understand R2 is not supported yet however when attempting to repair plesk installation on server 2008 r2 the reconfigurator crashes similar to the crash in R1.

Right, R2 is not supported.
Maybe this workaround will help?
Please update thread with results.

I looked into the issue more and the reconfigurator works properly after a fresh install. It breaks after modifications are made to the IIS's applicationHost.config file. So this does not appear to be an issue with Plesk afterall.
