recordset rendering without hyperlinks

New Pleskian
have MySql database (MySQL - 4.1.20)
using recordset on PHP page and any url (ie. www.parallels.com) shows up only as text on the PHP page
Even if in the database i have <a href="www.parallels.com">Click Here</a>, it shows only as text without any hyperlink.
I am not sure if it is a code problem or something with the way i have the database set up?

any help to point me in the right direction would be appreciated
